Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Arsim Bajrami visited the Secondary Higher School “Hoxhe Kadri Prishtina”in Prishtina, where was promoted last year the Strategy on Quality Assurance in Pre-university Education in Kosova 2016 – 2020.
Minister Bajrami, on this occasion has invited teachers to increase their responsibility, regarding advancement of the teaching methods and their work in equipping students with practical skills.
Minister Bajrami has said that results of PISA test, published days ago, should not demotivate anyone in fulfilling their responsibilities, on the contrary, they should increase courage for the maximum commitment and the quality increase in learning.
Minister Bajrami has also mentioned three main pillars of the Strategy on Quality Assurance and which are: the reform of the teaching process, in order to provide modern teaching, teachers’ career building and strengthening the practical aspects of the curriculum.
Minister Bajrami has invited teachers to raise their professional capacities and to promote dual learning in schools, making that besides the school, learning to take place even in companies.
“We should unload our curriculum from the theoretical contents and to strengthen practical aspects by promoting skills and competencies of students”, said Minister Bajrami.
Minister Bajrami, also made it known that the Ministry has worked on changing teacher licensing policies, so that relicensing be based on the work and the teachers results
Among other things, Minister Bajrami spoke about the framework construction of teacher professional development, assigning of each quality coordinator in school, assigning the pedagogue and psychologist and teachers’ performance assessment.
