Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Arsim Bajrami, who is staying for an official visit to Germany, is hosted today in meeting from the minister of Education and Science of Germany, Mrs. Joanna Wanka, with who has discussed on new cooperation opportunities in pre-university higher education, but also in the field of scientific research.
Minister Bajrami has thanked the German minister on behalf of the Government of Kosova, for assistance that her state has given for Kosova, especially in the education field.
During the meeting was discussed for deepening the cooperation between two countries, with special emphasis in vocational education, while stressing that vocational education has extraordinary role to create cadres for the labour market.
Minister Bajrami asked for help of the German state for education in Kosova. He also asked Germany to help Kosovo on the journey of becoming member and part of the Bologna.
Ministers of Education of both countries discussed also for cooperation in higher education, while minister Bajrami asked to have cooperation between Kosovar and German universities, by conducting joint programs, exchanges of students and of academic staff.
The German Minister thanked for the visit Minister Bajrami and has guaranteed the German support for Kosova in the field of education. The Minister also stressed that encourages Kosova to apply for European funds to support education and science. She was expressed satisfied on the fact that Kosova is on the path toward Bologna regarding the higher education.
Minister Bajrami invited the Minister Wanka for an official visit to Kosova.
Minister Bajrami during the official visit to Germany will have visits also in Bundestag, where he will meet with Mrs. Patricia Lips, President of the Commission for Education and Science, and simultaneously member of Bundestag, and also with members of this Commission. Also, the minister will meet also with leaders of universities in Berlin.
