On the occasion of the 9th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kosova, Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Arsim Bajrami held a lecture in front of students of the University of Gjilan “Kadri Zeka” with topic “Independence of the Republic of Kosova as stability factor in the region”.
Minister Bajrami after congratulating students and academic staff said that he is pleased that on the 9th anniversary of the independence had the opportunity to share some from the impressions about the importance of this historical date for the country.
Minister Bajrami said that the generations that have experienced declaration of independence are fortunate, and that the fallen in the recent war have greatest merits for this. “The independence of Kosova is a legitimate right and not a right given by anyone. We must be determined to defend our country from any challenge”, has emphasized the Minister.
Minister Bajrami, among other things, highly appreciated the role of students, as precedent of the establishment of a strong base of the academics and professors for Kosova’s state-building.
“I had the honour to be a participant in every phase of state-building in Kosova. We must show our youth the importance and challenges that state-building has had. A state with Western European values, a prosperous and democratic state, must be built”, said Minister Bajrami.
Minister Bajrami also said that MEST will draft policies which will help our universities to be a promoter of the country’s economic development.
