Within the framework of the Intergovernmental (G2G) meeting between the Republic of Kosova and the Republic of North Macedonia, the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, together with the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia, Vesna Janevska, signed the Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of education.
This Memorandum will be focused on the vocational education and training sector and adult education, knowing that these are sectors of vital importance for the economy of any country.
Minister Nagavci said on this occasion that vocational education and training (VET) has been identified as a sector of particular importance within the framework of the ERA (European Education Area) initiative for the period 2021-2030.
She emphasized that Kosova and North Macedonia are part of the regional project EQET-SEE (Strengthening the Quality of Vocational Education and Training in South-Eastern Europe), where our two Republics are partners in ensuring the quality of vocational education linked to market needs.
Minister Nagavci also announced that, as the Minister of Education, we have paid special attention and increased human and financial resources to VET since taking the office. She also said that, for the first time, we have started dual education in our vocational secondary schools, where within two years we have managed to activate 12 professional profiles.
