ALL PREPARATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE FOR THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR – MINISTER NAGAVCI INVITES ALL STAKEHOLDERS TO BE MOBILIZED FOR A GOOD BEGINNING OF THE SCHOOL

The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, announced at the media conference that MESTI, in coordination with the municipalities, has made all the necessary preparations for the beginning of the new school year, which officially begins tomorrow on September 1st.

On this occasion, Nagavci said that textbooks have been distributed and this school year all students will be equipped with new textbooks and after a great commitment of the two governments, from this school year all Albanian children will learn with the same Primer, which will be launched tomorrow, together with the Minister of Education of Albania.

Minister Nagavci invited parents, teachers, students to mobilize together for a good beginning of the school year.

Among other things, Nagavci emphasized that, during her mandate as Minister, almost all the requests that were for the safety and well-being of the educational staff were included and that they responded to every request of the Union for meetings, while adding that the members of JUESC are part of the councils and working groups in the Ministry and part of the decision-making of MESTI policies.

Speaking about the Draft law on Salaries, Nagavci said that this draft law is already under preliminary discussion and that all her proposals as Minister have been taken into account and the education workers have not only been treated with dignity, but also improved the position of the workers who were discriminated against in the previous Law.

She stressed that education is one of the priorities in the governing program and this has been proven with the increase in the budget for education, with policy advancement, with very effective work in improving legislation and addressing the challenges we face every day.

Among other things, Nagavci also paid special attention to the issue of safety in schools, while adding that the role of educational institutions in the development of a society where children feel free, safe and equal is irreplaceable.

In this regard, she announced that MESTI has established the National Forum for Friendly Schools ‘Growing Together’, an integrated multilateral body of education, security, health and social welfare that advocates, promotes and coordinates the implementation of security policies and healthy development of children.
