The Acting Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, visited the “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica, where she was received by Rector Nurten Deva and held a discussion with the academic staff and STEM scholarship beneficiary students.
Afterwards, Minister Nagavci visited the IBCM College, where she first met with Rector Mihone Kerolli Mustafa and then held a meeting with the students of this institution.
During the meetings, Minister Nagavci emphasized MESTI’s commitment to supporting students who aim to study abroad, particularly in highly ranked universities on international lists and in profiles of strategic importance for the country’s development.
She encouraged students to engage in international academic programs, including Erasmus+, while emphasizing that under the Horizon Europe program, the number of researchers from Kosovo universities in international institutions has increased.
The Minister wished the STEM scholarship beneficiaries to use this support responsibly and transform it into professional and scientific contributions for the country in the future.
Within the framework of the discussion, the importance of maintaining academic quality and supporting students in priority fields, such as engineering, medicine, and the mining sector, was emphasized, and the importance of supporting students in other forms besides financial ones was also discussed.
